3 weeks on foot?

Mt EverestSetting out on foot into the Himalayan mountain’s near Mt. Everest for 3 weeks sounds pretty crazy or maybe even stupid. Well i defiantly know I’m crazy and some people probably think I’m stupid but the fact is going by foot is the only way as there’s no roads. The pay off is some of the most amazing scenery in the world. Since i will be walking i have to carry everything I’m bringing on my back, so with that there is going to be a 3 week break from the website as I’m not bringing my computer and also there’s no internet anyway…. but i will be taking tons of photos and video. There must be a way i can buy a donkey to bring along to carry my bags? hmmm well we will see. Coming from warm climates in Thailand i have no winter clothes… so i have been stocking up on cheap trekking gear here in Kathmandu and also enjoying a few massages to get my muscles lose. I had to spring for a pair of shoes as i think my Chuck Taylors wont cut it… i opted for the cheap $4 hiking shoes made in china. Today i decided to break them in a bit, i found out quickly that the $4 i paid was way too much as it felt like part of the shoe was missing. I would have been more comfortable wearing sandals, so now i was forced to buy a real pair of hiking boots… but in the end i sold my $4 shoes for $2… so not much of a loss. I think i will be glad i made the switch as 3 weeks on my feet is a first for me… the longest i have been trekking was 1 week. So wish me luck!! Goodbye for now….
