My last weekend in LA was much different then I thought it would be. Memorial day weekends are normally spent around a BBQ with friends and family rather then sitting alone on top of a mountain.
On Saturday morning I leaned that my beloved dog Pugsley took his last breath, ending his epic 15-year journey. I have been taking it kind of hard as he meant soo much to me, but he did live a very very long and happy life. He was 105 in people years, I got him when I was 16. He was around when Tupac was making records.
The part that hurts the most is that I was going home to see him in less then 5 days, so I feel like a didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. So the lesson learned from this was to start making time for things that mean a lot to me. We always tend to say “I will do this/that soon” or “I will spend time with her/him soon” but the truth is we really have no idea when it’s going to end. I hate living with regrets and I now have one more regret… that I didn’t take the time to see him a little more. Life is short, you never know when the game is up… so take the time and say things you want to say and do the things you want to do… NOW!
Now that I have gone all philosophical on you, I will get back to the update.
I leave for Florida in 3 days, I will spend a week visiting family and then off to Europe on June 10th.

As I sit here trying to recap what has happened over the last year I am amazed and yet shocked how amazing 2008 really was. 2008 seemed more like a few months, rather then a whole year. I started off the year in Japan and ended it in India, that statement alone is good enough for me. 2008 was filled with new adventures, new faces, new lessons in life and the best of all spending time with my family in Canada.
I used to be able to say where I would be the following year, work or a lease on an apartment or debt, always seemed to tie me to a planned future. Now it’s really hard to say where I will be this time next year. A year ago today I was in Tokyo Japan, and if you asked me at the time where do you think you will be a year from now, I would never have guessed I would be sitting in a bed at my friends house in LA at 3am due to jet lag from a trip to India writing this blog.
My trip to India was the prefect end to a prefect year, and more importantly a prefect start to a new and promising year. The catch phrase from our new leader of the free world “Yes we can!” is becoming my mantra for 2009.
I get a lot of emails asking what I have learned from each little adventure, so the lesson learned from my 2-week trip to India is… “It’s not the place, it’s the people that make a place amazing!”
So far 2009 looks very bright. I am wrapping up a show for MTV at the moment and I’m in the process of starting my own company, which we will start shooting our projects in April. Also it seems that my heart became alive again on New Years Eve, which is a good thing as I thought it had frozen over and lost its capability of functioning properly.
Here are a few images of my last few days of 2008.

4 years ago today I woke up in Lima Peru to hear the news that Bush was reelected. The only thing I could say was “I guess this gives me a good reason to travel for the next 4 years!”
I have pretty much stuck to that plan and have spent the most of the last 4 years traveling the world. During the last 4 years, I have spent countless hours trying to explain/stick up for the American people to the ever-growing hateful international community.
It has now come time once again to do our patriotic duty and vote. So please people… get out and vote… and do the right thing this time!
The one thing this country needs… is HOPE!

It really is amazing how things in life can change without warning. One minute you are down $1000, wearing a mullet wig with your arm around a minger and a cigarette hanging from your month…. to the next minute up $200 bucks with a half naked hot model around your arm! Well thats sort of how our Vegas adventure unfolded, but i will let the pictures tell the story.
