I have been getting a lot of emails from people saying that i haven’t been taking enough photos!….. well my friends today i set out on foot to explore Kathmandu and it’s surrounding areas and took around 300 photos. It’s the first time in a long time that i have done any sort of physical activities… as for the last few months i have been laying on beaches in Thailand. In 2 days i am setting out for a 3 week trek (hike) into the Himalayan mountain range close to the Tibet border….. so i guess its a good thing to get my legs ready! Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Well we are still ruling the skies above Kathmandu… thanks to our team leader Bhabha which comes to us from India. Bhabha’s is our Tom Cruise, he is a real top gun kite flying machine… with his cut throat attitude and style we have been kicking some serious ass here in Kathmandu and making a real name for ourselves. People are fearful when they see us on the roof top, we have to beg them to put up their kites and challenge us. Today alone we won 12 battles, wounded and shot down kites were raining from the skies. But the sad part is Bhabha is leaving tonight to go back to India…. he will be missed and also I’m not sure what will happen with our team as he was the star. All that’s left is me and two 10 year olds that are pretty much useless. So this might be the last day as TopGun’s of Kathmandu. I plan on visiting Bhabha when i make my way down to India… he said i was his very best of friend. Well Bhabha i feel the same way… get a kite ready for me when i get to India and its on my friend. I never thought i would find some much joy in something as simple as flying a kite… i guess I’m starting to live my life the way i have been wanting to for a long time. I’m starting to enjoy the simple things in life.. like flying a kite with a stranger from India… now turned best of friend!
For you guys that didn’t see my video blog click here and also make sure you check out the video i made about the Dashain Festival here in Kathmandu.

What happened to the days when kids only need a kite and an endless imagination? As a young boy I could make up all sorts of games, give me a stick and a few rocks and I would give you endless hours of fun. Now a days that has been lost, with video games and online everything, kids spend most of their time sitting in front of a TV screen. But that life that I remember so well as a kid is still alive and well. Here in Kathmandu I have found joy in watching the kite flyer’s… take a look… watch the video below.

After spending the last few months in Malaysia and Thailand it was time for me to get back to one of my most favorite countries in the world. When I first visited Nepal 2 years ago I only planned on using Nepal as a way to get from Tibet (China) to India. From the first minute I stepped foot into the Kingdom on Nepal I instantly fell in love with this place. Nepal has some of the most beautiful landscapes that I have ever seen… raging rivers slice through lush green mountains dotted with huts connected by vine rope bridges. Nepal is home to the world’s tallest mountain (Mt. Everest) well actually Nepal shares Mt. Everest with its friendly neighbor China. Nepal also has some of the best white rafting in the world (which I cant wait to do!) and for the most part Nepal is just an amazing place to visit and take part in all the colorful yet bazaar traditional Nepalese festivals. I am arriving at the prefect time, as this is the main season for festivals in Nepal. When I was here 2 years ago I met a young girl on a bus, she was just finishing up high school and was telling me that she had dreams to become a doctor. When I left she asked when I would come back to visit her… I told her get into medical school and I will come visit. Well she has now finished her first year of medical school… so I guess this is me keeping my promise. So it will be nice to meet up with her and see how she is doing. Also I will be meeting up with Brian, he was one of the guys that was part of the driving around the world expedition I was on. So that’s it for now… I hope your all doing well.
